Hello, my name is...

Heather.

The Washington, DC area is a great place to live and work. I've lived in parts of DC and parts of Northern Virginia, and I can even claim some years in suburban Maryland, although I was an infant. (Along the way I've spent a few years in NC, NY and PA, too.)

As much as I love DC, my husband Doug and I love to travel whenever possible. Our two cats, Nacho and Eddie, keep us very happy while we're at home. We are animal lovers and we try to live with the planet in mind.

I've had jobs in Advertising, Marketing, Publishing, Public Relations and Sales. My clients have included publications, bands, authors, artists, auto dealers, hotels, non-profits, and my own record store. I've even written an article or two for some music tabloids.

Oh right — Why DC Grrl? I was born in DC, I went to college here — American University — and I've been living here for the past 20 years. DC is one of my best friends. The 'Grrl' part is my little tribute to the riot grrrl movement, from which I was lucky to receive both benefits and influences. Any more questions? Drop me a line!
