Tweeps I like

My Twitter recommendations for #followfriday

I ♥ these folks for one reason or another, and I recommend you follow along, if you’re a tweeter, for a better Twitter experience. If you’re not on Twitter yet, see my tips on Twitter.Alex Mathers

@budgetsaresexy – We all have our mind on our money, and our money on our minds, these days. J. Money is a personal finance writer who isn’t afraid to bring the sexy back to savings. You need him. That’s all.

@EbertChicago – If you like movies, this critic is interesting for his critique and social commentary.

@geneweingarten – A columnist for The Washington Post, a Pulitzer prize-winner, but you would not always know it by what he posts on Twitter.

@GirlsRockDC – A wonderful non-profit group that runs a rock camp for DC area girls 8-18. In one week, girls form bands and DJ groups, learn the tools of the trade, and write their own songs. Then they put on a concert. (Disclosure: I often tweet from here, too.)

@jmitchem – One of the social-est of social media types, here’s real Southern hospitality for you. Full of love, an advertising genius from Charlotte NC.

@Marilyn_Res – Marilyn is all over the place, but that’s her strength! She’s got photos, directions, links and travel tips galore, due to her National Geographic Society connections.

@PaintsNature – Another DC grrrl and a very talented artist, she’s an animal lover and a responsible member of the social media community. A lovely person to interact with.

@PasteMagazine – An alternative online music magazine.

@popcandy – Whitney has the most awesome job in the world, writing the Pop Candy blog for USA Today. She goes to fan conventions, reads comics, and watches TV and movie premieres and gets new toys to play with. I am so frackin’ jealous!

@pulpologist – Sonia writes about wine, food and traveling — all things I can’t do without. Check out her blog, you’ll also find it on my Links page.

@samerfarha – Talented photographer-about-town — DC that is — and an observant fellow in general. Samer finds some great images and some tasty-looking food and drink. He’s writing for WeLoveDC, too.

@Styleite – A great source for fashion and celebrity gossip.

@WomenWhoTech – Allyson is smart, technologically savvy, vigilant, and she runs a good teleconference too. Go girl go!
